What ways can I use this product?
Solspring® Biodynamic® Sundried Tomato Pesto may be enjoyed simply tossed with pasta and olive oil, stirred into roasted vegetables, spread on sandwiches, or as a flavorful marinade for meats. This versatile pesto may also be used to level up your lasagna, pizza sauce or tomato paste in your favorite Italian recipes, or added whenever you want a tangy boost of Italian flavor.
Like our Sundried Tomato Pesto, our Basil Pesto is a remarkably flavorful sauce that enhances many dishes, especially pastas. Use it as a savory spread for toasted bread, toss it with roasted veggies or stir it into salad dressing for an extra punchy flavor. It combines well with creamy foods, like yogurt and sour cream, to create an irresistible dip or a spread. For a fun variation on pizza, try using Basil Pesto in place of your usual pizza sauce.

What does ‘Biodynamic®’ mean?
Think organic but better. Farms that earn Demeter Certified Biodynamic®, the world’s oldest ecological certification, use regenerative, soil-first practices to meet the highest standards in agriculture. Every certified farm is a self-contained, self-sustaining ecosystem that follows the cycles of nature through century-old methods – like plant diversity, cover crops, livestock integration, low-till practices as well as complete removal of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides. As a result, farmers improve the health of their land and quality of our food while cultivating a stronger planet.

Why doesn’t your pesto contain cheese like most pesto products?
Traditional pesto typically includes parmesan or Romano cheese, but we know many people avoid dairy in their diets. So, we selected a recipe that provides all the delicious, zingy flavor of pesto without the cheese, for those who want a dairy-free option of this Italian favorite.
