Castor oil has been popular for hair and skin care for centuries. It’s rich in several compounds that help replenish moisture. The most prominent of these compounds are:

    • Ricinoleic Acid – This monounsaturated fatty acid helps, for healthier looking skin and stronger feeling hair. It draws moisture into your skin and locks it in, enhancing smoothness and softness. It has a unique structure among oils.
    • Tocopherols and Tocotreniols – These are vitamin E compounds with powerful antioxidant properties. Antioxidants defend against free radicals that can damage your skin and hair.
