  1. What is the suggested use for this product?

Mix 1/4 cup (33 g) with 8 fl. oz. of water until desired consistency is reached.

  2. What is “regenerative” farming?

Regenerative farmers are organic farmers who go beyond the first step of avoiding chemicals to focus on regenerating life in the soil, especially where it has been depleted by the use of industrial chemicals. This focus creates a stronger, more vibrant farm ecosystem and sequesters carbon in the soil to help with climate change. On the Alexandre Family Farm, it includes:

    • Animal feeding – Livestock is pasture raised and fed.
    • Animal health – Compassion and humane treatment of animals is a top priority. This is ensured by participating in a third-party animal humane certification program, Certified Humane.
    • Holistic farming – This includes manure management and commitment to foster biodiversity in the land, soil, microbiomes and pastures.
    • Green Grass 365 – “Living” green grasses available every day of the year shows the farm’s commitment to 100% grass-fed cows.
    • Regular soil measurement – Soil samples are examined on a regular basis to assess the health of the soil.

As the Alexandres put it, their first priority is “nourishing the soil that nourishes us.”

  3. What organization provides the certification for Solspring® Organic A2 Dry Whole Milk?

Alexandre Family Farm is the first and only dairy farm in the United States to be awarded Regenerative Organic Certified status by the Regenerative Organic Alliance.

It’s also the first dairy to obtain Ecological Outcome Verification certification by the Savory Institute. These certifications acknowledge that the farm’s practices go far beyond sustainability to continuously improve soil biology as well as the entire ecosystem – water, land, air and animals.

  4. I’ve tried all types of milk, including organic, but I haven’t been able to enjoy it due to occasional digestive discomfort. Why is A2 milk a possible alternative?

Research shows that A1 beta-casein protein may be the culprit behind adverse effects, such as digestive discomfort, that occur after drinking milk. This protein is found in almost all commercial milk, and many local organic dairies as well.

A2 beta-casein protein, on the other hand, is similar to the protein found in goat, sheep, buffalo and human milk. This protein is much easier for humans to digest. A2 milk comes from cows bred and certified to produce only A2 milk. Many people who avoid dairy find they are able to drink A2 milk without experiencing the typical discomfort.

  5. If milk with A1 causes potential discomfort for some people, why don’t more dairies simply produce A2 milk instead of the standard A1/A2?

It takes a lot of work to breed the A1 protein out of a dairy herd. It’s a long-term and costly process that only a few dairies have made the commitment to undergo. We’re fortunate to work with one of them, the Alexandre Family Farm, to bring you Solspring® Organic A2 Dry Whole Milk, with all the benefits of grass-fed organic production as well as the A2 certification.
