  1. What is the suggested use for this product?

    For aromatherapy, add a few drops to a diffuser or to a bowl of hot water. For other uses, dilute 1 to 4 drops of essential oil per one (1) tsp. of a carrier oil.

    When using an essential oil for the first time, we recommend spot testing before applying to a large area. You may also add a few drops to a spray bottle of water, shake it up, and spray it on your garden to attract bees and butterflies.

  2. Can I ingest Ola Botanicals® Essential Oils?

    Ola Botanicals® Organic Essential Oils are not intended for consumption.

  3. Can I diffuse essential oils around my pets? I’ve heard they can be harmful for animals, especially cats.

    Ola Botanicals® Organic Rosemary Essential Oil is suitable for use around most pets, but NOT PETS WITH EPILEPSY. Keep in mind that many other oils on the market, such as synthetic fragrance oils and oils of unknown content or quality, should never be used around any type of pet.

    While most 100% pure essential oils are suitable for diffusing around pets, Rosemary is NOT SAFE FOR PETS WITH EPILEPSY. Before diffusing any essential oil, please consult with your veterinarian.

  4. How do Ola Botanicals® Organic Essential Oils compare to “Therapeutic Grade” essential oils sold by some other companies?

    There is no official grading system for essential oils, and there is not an officially recognized standard for “Therapeutic Grade.” It is purely a marketing term. Many essential oils produced by a variety of companies meet the same specifications as those labeled “Therapeutic Grade.”

    The factors that matter most in essential oil production include the following:

    • What is the source of the essential oil?
    • Is it the correct species, and is it grown in its ideal location?
    • Is it organic and free of GMOs, synthetic ingredients, chemicals, contaminants and pesticides?
    • Have the oils been carefully extracted by cold pressing or steam distillation to protect their active compounds, or have they been extracted with harsh chemicals?
    • Are they tested for purity and potency?

    It’s best to evaluate an essential oil on its own merits and ignore how a company chooses to “grade” it for marketing.
