I have 2-60lb mixed breed dogs. They have been fed raw most of their lives. They will be 4 in December. They love this food, but they are not picky eaters. I used to have a local company that made a raw patty mix that was frozen but they sadly had to close the business. I was looking for something easy to replace it with & found this. It is very expensive for 2 big dogs. I tried to mix it with half dry grain free kibble for a long time, but recently I serve more of the dehydrated raw food. One bag lasts me about 5 days. I order 6 bags a month & since decreasing the kibble, I’m hoping I won’t need more bags. It is expensive, but I want my dogs to have healthy lives, so I buy it. They eat better then me. I don’t have the time & energy to make a meal for them myself & this is easy to mix with water. I’ve never had an issue with the chunks not getting soft or the crumbs. My dogs eat it all.

Just received my first bag of the beef dog food. I was expecting dehydrated but these are chunk cubes and are extremely hard. No way you can use these as a topper. I test soaked a cube for twice the recommended time and still not that soft. So if you buy these give yourself a lot of time to soak so they are soft enough, especially if you have small or older dogs. . And don’t plan on using these for a topper or a treat. You’ll break fingers trying to crush them up. We will see how the dogs like it and if it agrees with them. This is just first impression.

I recently have ordered my third bag of the beef dehydrated dog food. My dog absolutely loves it and seems to be thriving with it. I have been worried that he hasn't been getting what he needs in spite of my trying to make his food. This formula is more complete and I feel happy to get it for him. It saves me the time of shopping for high quality meats and vegetables and preparing them. He is very happy and I feel confident that he is getting more of what he needs.

I feel that I am giving my pup good quality food when serving her this. Sometimes she eats it right away and other times she acts as if she doesn't want it, but will eat it later. I serve it as a topper and sometimes as the meal. I did notice that about 1/3 of the bag is crumbs vs. chunks of food by the time I receive it. That is the downfall because my pup loves eating the chunks of food. I'm not sure if it's the packaging or if it gets broken up in the shipping process. The food is expensive and I would prefer to see more chunks of food for the price vs. broken pieces and crumbs.

So happy to have this perfect combination of human grade, organic ingredients and grass-fed beef easy to mix and store, pet food. If you live in an area where inclement weather can disrupt electricity for food supply storage, this makes one less thing to worry about. I keep an extra bag in an emergency kit and rotate it out as expiration dates necessitate. Yes, it’s not cheap, but the ingredients are expensive to source and I believe it’s better to spend money on good food than on vet bills later from feeding poor quality food. Of primary importance, my dogs love it!

My 2 mini dachshunds love this food! One is 12yrs old the other a 10wk old puppy! I was worried if they would like it because it is a little expensive, but I just needed to try it because of the goodness of health wise. They honestly can’t get enough lol I’m still mixing it in with their kibble but once the Kibble is gone I’m feeding this only.

I recently won a bag of this food in the online 10th Anniversary contest (WOO HOO!!!). All 5 of my dogs, including 2 galgos (Spanish greyhounds); 2 doxies and a toothless chihuahua, absolutely LOVE it. And I was blown away by the superior ingredients. After a couple meals, I thought I'd order more since I'd love to keep using this as a supplement to their partially raw diet. I just about fell on the floor when I saw the price! What's left in this bag will now be sparingly crumbled over their food to make it last as long as possible. I know it's incredibly good and wholesome with all natural ingredients, but with a social security budget and 5 dogs plus fosters, there's no way I could afford this.

Beautiful product! I use the meal mix, but decided to try this as a meal topper. Dogs love it! I also use it as treats! Hope they come up with a turkey version!

We were not sure that our picky Schitzus would like this food but we gave it a try.... and they LOVE it! We are sooo happy that they like this healthy dog food. Thank you for offering the Healthy Pet Essentials for dogs. Yay!!!!

Don't know if my dogs love it or not. Some days they eat it, other times they sniff and walk away and literally leave it in their bowls all day. Very expensive for 2 medium size dogs. Went through one bag in under a month. I trust the quality of the dog food, but I may have to buy it intermittently.
